HETALIA. it is the most amazing thing in this world.

WHY DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE HETALIA!?

I think it's a great idea, I think the characters are interesting, I think the metaphors are intriguing, and I think the scenes are amusing. I'm grateful for the lack of seriousness in it all because while it doesn't offend people, it also gives us all something to think about; what would it really be like if it wasn't all fluff and rainbows? It's good to find an anime without all those fight scenes, blood, out-of-this-world powers, or even a real plot! It's relaxing that way, apart from the giggle fits I get occasionally.

But there is one thing that just KILLS me... the FANDOM. I would not be kidding if I said it was packed full of yaoi, but you would know, wouldn't you? I'm not a fan of yaoi (but I don't hate it) and I'm quite annoyed at the amount of pictures people draw which are yaoi. I understand everyone has a right to share whatever non-offensive things they like, but I'm also stating my own opinion here. Still, it's unavoidable.

I used to sorta like it, the funniest parts are the little things they say to fast in my opinion, so it was pretty annoying to keep rewinding just to catch the jokes. I don't kind the guys hot, they're all pretty annoying and gay- seeming.(no offense) Despite all that, it's funny at times and teaches you history, so I would watch it if it werent for one thing. The. Fucking. Fans!!!! Hetalia fans are soooo obnoxious. Ignorant, desperate, clingy people, and Hetalia is all they talk about. It's made me despise Hetalia.

It is hilarious! xD Is random but sometimes has cute moments, not only because of the guys of course... And also it is a great way to learn history without sometimes even realizing! Hetalia is probably one of the funniest, random and smartest anime I've ever seen, you learn about wars, and countries independence and how they grown up, in a odd way, but you understand it. I love it!

Most of the time, it's because of the cute guys.

But really, it's a hilarious show that entertains and educates. It's sort of like World History on crack. All the characters are stereoyped depending on what country they represent. It shows peple how o laugh at eachother and themselves without causing damage.

Most people are into Action animes with magical powers and kickassery and 17 gallons of blood shooting out of a human body from scraping their knee.

This is NOT that type of anime.

I am not going to lie, I do find some male characters rather attractive, but I'm a fan because of how funny it is.

Its probably because of the annoying fan base

I like it the way I do personally because I can relate to most of the characters in people (and myself) in my life. I love the flexibility of the story line.. sometimes I wish it would be more serious and focused on the horror of the history it talks about but other times I'm glad it has the humor that relieves me from a long day of stress.
I think with Hetalia you either love it or hate it. If you asked me personally why I like the show so much it's not because there's hot guys in it, not because it's super popular (I actually often wish it wasn't so popular), it's not because it suggests yaoi/has it...it's because it just makes me happy. There's not much more I can say than that.. my friends and I love it. I understand and respect those who don't--I have friends who hate it and anime itself -- I don't love those friends any less than the ones who enjoy Hetalia. It's just another show really, sure the fandom is great but I think the original show is creative and enjoyable as well. This is just my opinion by the way and if you don't like that, I'm sorry but that's just how it is! Thanks for reading!
