Is it just me, or do you think that there are too many pictures of half-naked women on dA?

Yes. It really bothers me. It's not good for woman's image in society.
Ehh, a little, but it doesn't bother me.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. For one, dismissing something as "not-art" simply because it offends you is just dumb... Art is a lot of things to a lot of people. AND as a general rule of thumb, the more people you piss-off, the better the piece XD (Jk about that last point btw).
A lot of people believe cos-play to be stupid and not qualify as art. But it still is, and even though (admittedly) I don't really understand cos-play in the least, I respect that a lot of people take it seriously and I do have respect for the people who do it, and have seen some brilliant cos-players in my time.
What I believe it boils down to is a matter of maturity and open-mindedness. Some people will go "OH NO, A BOOB!" And flip out like the photographer just drown an infant for posting 'ornography'!!! But it isn't porn, it is art, and a lot of it is very beautiful and tasteful. For the most part I think if you're not 13 years old or a prude you should be able to appreciate the difference between non-sexual nude photographs of the human figure (Male or female) and just nudity and porn.
